This journal does not share real Bandit passwords. The goal is to explain the reasoning, commands, and learning process so others can understand how to approach each level.
Why this journal exists
This page documents Emma’s progress through OverTheWire Bandit. The purpose is to practice Linux commands, file navigation, SSH, permissions, hidden files, searching, decoding, compression, private keys, and problem-solving.
Each level includes the goal, what you need to know, commands used, explanation, common mistake, and takeaway. The writing is designed to feel like Emma is teaching another beginner how to think through the level.
Bandit levels
Each section is collapsible so the journal stays readable instead of becoming one endless scroll.
More levels coming soon as I continue the Bandit wargame.
Passwords are hidden intentionally so the focus stays on learning, not copying answers.
